It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of the founders of The Leading Edge Hair & Beauty, our dear friend and colleague, Barrie, who passed away peacefully on Saturday 4th July.
For more than 50 years, Barrie dedicated his life to the art of hairdressing, caring for clients across Denton, Gorton, Reddish, Burnley, Manchester and Hyde. Throughout his remarkable career, he touched the lives of thousands of customers, worked alongside countless colleagues, and made many lifelong friends.
Barrie was more than an exceptional hairdresser he was a mentor, a gentleman, and someone whose warmth, humour and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on through the salon he helped build and the many people whose lives he enriched.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and the thousands of loyal clients who placed their trust in him over the years.
Funeral Arrangements
The funeral cortege will leave The Leading Edge Hair & Beauty at 2:00pm on Tuesday 4th August, where anyone wishing to pay their respects is warmly invited to join us.
The funeral service will take place at Dukinfield Crematorium at 2:40pm.
After the service, a celebration of Barrie's life will be held at The Joshua Bradley. All who knew Barrie are welcome to join us as we share memories, laughter and stories of the wonderful life he lived.
Thank you to everyone who has already sent messages of love and support. They have meant so much during this difficult time.
