In times like these, looking after your health is more important than ever before! So if sleep hasn’t been your priority, let this be your sign to invest in rest. For me, embracing healthy sleep is the gateway to glowing skin and high energy levels. A good night’s sleep is the best tonic and it won’t cost you a cent!

During sleep, your skin’s blood flow increases, and the organ rebuilds its collagen and repairs damage from UV exposure, reducing wrinkles and age spots, sounds pretty good right!? So besides the myriads of benefits for the mind and body, it’s clear that this is something you simply can’t afford to overlook! But always be sure to give your face a cleanse first and apply moisturizer for extra hydration.

A little cocktail never killed nobody. Lately I’ve been OBSESSED with all things sweet n fruity! No matter how crazy our lives get, unwinding will also be essential; which means there’s always time for a cheeky cocktail or a G&T! My favorite part?

It’s a hobby and a pleasure! As a creative at heart, I’m all for experimenting (and yes that means all the latest TikTok concoctions too. My go-to would have to be Mojito ;-

Main alcohol: Rum

Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz White rum, 1 oz Fresh lime juice, 2 teaspoons Sugar, 6 leaves of Mint, Soda Water

Preparation: Mint sprigs muddled with sugar and lime juice. Rum added and topped with soda water. Garnished with sprig of mint leaves. Served with a straw.

Served: On the rocks; poured over ice

Standard garnish: Sprig of mint, Yerba buena

Drinkware: Collins glass

Whether you’re counting down the days to get to the next phase in your life or waiting for life as we know it to get back to ‘normal’, don’t let that stop you from taking time for yourself and others. Well that went quick! With the year truly in full swing now, I hope you’re all taking the time to reflect on your resolutions and goals (or get started - it’s never too late!). Regardless of where you’re trying to get to, take the time to pause and check on your mental health - your headspace is the home you never leave. 2020 and the start to 2021 certainly have took their toll on me and our team, but I’m so grateful for the habits it has taught me! Things I like to practice include:

Talking about my feelings

Journaling - especially gratitude!

Staying active

Making time for the things I love, like walking the dog and time in the garden

Eating well...but also treating myself shamelessly

Sneaking some sunlight when possible

Prioritizing sleep and rest

Meditation and mindfulness

Do I get it right all the time? Of course not, but we’re all in this journey together - so remember baby steps and celebrate your little wins.
