But the number one reason is if the regrowth is left any longer, you can start to experience what we call ‘banding’ in your color – which means your color will be uneven 😭. Banding happens when the bleach closest to your scalp processes faster than the bleach further from your scalp – which only becomes a problem if your regrowth touch-up appointment is left longer than the 8 week mark.
